Heineken in the Czech Republic is not only synonymous with the iconic green bottle, but also with traditional brands that have a long history among Czech beer lovers. Thanks to them, Heineken has become a solid part of our beer market, proving that it truly has something to offer everyone.
In 2003, Heineken introduced itself to Czech beer enthusiasts by acquiring the Moravian brewery Starobrno. Four years later, the royal Krušovice joined the portfolio, and in 2008 the authentic North Bohemian Březňák was added. That same year, popular Zlatopramen and the much-loved Hostan with its loyal fans also appeared.
However, Heineken doesn’t rely solely on Czech classics. The portfolio also includes the Slovak Zlatý Bažant, which has been part of the group since 1985, as well as modern brands that have gained worldwide popularity. Among them are Lišácké jablko cider, introduced in 2017, the refreshing Strongbow cider, and the original tequila-flavored beer Desperados.
Thanks to such a diverse range, everyone can find their place within Heineken’s portfolio. From lovers of traditional beers and those seeking regional brands with a strong story, to fans of modern taste trends. Heineken thus connects tradition with innovation, showing that beer culture can have many faces.
